ISAE 3402 is an assurance report that can be issued in two types: Type I and Type II.There is a difference between an assurance report and a certification. ISAE 3402 has more focus and looks more closely at the basis of actual facts in the organisation. A certification can be seen from a broader perspective.
Both types determine whether relevant measures and processes are 'in place' for customers. In Type 1, these processes and measures must be 'in place' at the chosen moment. For Type II, on the other hand, these measures and processes must have been 'in place' and worked over a period of at least six months.
The control measures are included in the assurance report. The external auditors of Conclude Accountants have positively assessed the design, existence and operation of these measures for the period from 01 January 2017 to 30 September 2017.
Joost van der Sluis, Finance Manager of Dataplace, explains: "I am immensely proud of this result. Within a year in which a lot has changed in terms of organisation, we have managed to obtain type II of the ISAE3402 statement immediately by means of working methods that are as pragmatic as possible. It is possible that Dataplace immediately managed to obtain a type II statement, because we already had all relevant (work) processes and measures 'in place'. Furthermore, quality and risk management is our nature. In addition, our management system already meets the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 5001 and NEN 7510 standards. The ISAE 3402 statement is an extra pile that strengthens our management system and thus our entire company. Achieving the ISAE 3402 type II statement is an extra confirmation to our customers that the processes outsourced to Dataplace are taking care of.”
