The CIA triad
The core security model used by Certicus for defining data security measures is the CIA triad (confidentiality, integrity and availability.) This model is used for the development of security policies used in identifying problem areas, along with necessary solutions in the arena of information security.
The CIA security triad
The CIA security triad is an important security concept because all security controls, mechanisms, and safeguards are implemented to provide one or more of these protection types. This model has formed the basis for the Certicus security plan which aims to protect the organization’s and our customers' critical and sensitive assets and documentation.
The process starts with a pre-audit or readiness assessment, during this pre-audit potential problems during the implementation of the actual audit are identified. The findings of the pre-audit are discussed with the management and Certicus advises on the design of these measures.
Certicus is an accountancy firm recognized by the Dutch Association of Accountants. From Certicus we can perform both the ISAE 3402 type I and type II audit.
